Meeting EU & UK Safety Standards with Confidence
Ensuring Compliance Without Compromise
At Libart, safety and compliance are never afterthoughts—they’re engineered into every solution we deliver.
To meet the stringent requirements of UK & EU machine directives, we have integrated a Secondary Mechanical Safety feature—a secondary mechanical brake system—into applicable systems, ensuring full compliance with the directive’s “secondary safety systems” clause.
It’s important to note:
• GUG Systems: These operate with a screw-drive mechanism, which is inherently self-locking and does not require an additional brake system.
• GUL Systems: These continue to use tubular motors equipped with internal electromechanical brakes, fully compliant with EU standards. These motors are widely used across Europe and the UK in roller shutter systems—just like our Panora Vertical Retracting Doors.
This layered safety strategy, including the Secondary Mechanical Safety feature, ensures that every Libart system not only performs beautifully but also meets the highest standards of mechanical integrity and user protection.
